I’ve always appreciated that at the heart of agriculture, we are all trying to find solutions to feed a growing world. With that interest, my FFA advisors in high school helped me assess my skills, communications and marketing, and guided me to a pathway at Purdue that married the two. My first role with Corteva was in central Illinois where I was focused on selling solutions for the corn and soybean acres. It’s a full circle moment for me to be able to now drive the direction of a portfolio that I have such rich history with. Today, I’m focused on the long term five-year strategic direction of Corteva’s Corn Herbicides portfolio. I spend a significant amount of time looking at market research, industry dynamics, competitive landscape and our internal portfolio line up to determine our strategic direction over the five-year horizon. This direction informs our five year forecast. I’m responsible for aligning key stakeholders to this direction to build short term tactical plans for market year pricing and program and marketing communication efforts.

I grew up in a small town, the son of an ag teacher, and have always felt a connection to agriculture. Working with retailers and farmers to find solutions and improve production is rewarding. I love learning and teaching, too! I enjoy collaborating with our team to teach others so they can improve their product and agronomic skills to serve their customers. Today, I am a product, agronomic and technical resource for the MN/WI team, their retailers and seed partners. I grew up Hayfield, MN and graduated from the University of Minnesota. I’ve worked in Wisconsin and central Illinois and currently live in Sartell, MN.

I chose a career in agriculture because of its broad range of opportunities that make a meaningful impact to society. It’s a career that places me at the crossroads of technology, science and business, all while serving a noble cause of feeding the world. Today, I work closely with our sales team and key customers to provide expertise and support. I love working in the field to address agronomic needs, crop protection strategies, and business challenges. I am from Evansville, Indiana, where I reside with my family.

Growing up on a dairy farm along with my experience in FFA gave me the confidence I needed to pursue an ag career. Feeding the hungry has always been a noble cause. I love relaying my experience to those who want a deeper understanding of crop protection. Today, I assist our sales team and key stakeholders with agronomic and crop protection challenges. I am from Maskell – a town of 60 people (all related to my wife) in the northeast corner of Nebraska which is home of the Smallest City Hall in the USA.
